Red Band Society which i think is a great pilot has disappointed overnight in America scoring just a 1.4/4 in the demo and 4.1m. Its such a shame. The show imo is amazing. Americans have no idea of quality shows if it stares them in the face.

Agreed. I loved it. Hopefully the Americans who didn't watch just haven't realised that the new TV season has actually started, and it picks up in the coming weeks. And hopefully FOX has enough faith in it to keep it airing for at least its initial run of episodes.

Yeah i agree too. I hope they stick with it. Apparently it was available on Hulu for a month before the premiere. Maybe just maybe its an anomaly and next week will do better mind you it has intense competition with a lot of shows returning.

On another note, Football hit CBS on Thursday and its no Sunday Night Football but 4.5/16 and 11.88m viewers carried it across the night. I think ABC will do decently after seeing those figures on a night where repeats dominated the schedule but then it was a one sided affair too. Grey's might just top 8pm until Big Bang returns. The Biggest Loser returned to a very lacklustre 1.3/5 and 4.62m viewers.

Sunday night saw the return of critic favourite The Good Wife and the premiere of Madam Secretary. Madam Secretary did well in viewers with 14.75m but only a 2.0 in the demo. The Good Wife returned with 9m viewers and a 1.3. Ouch. Mind you the schedule was pushed back an hour due to Football overrun. Could you imagine if that happened here? ABC and FOX return their Sunday lineups next week.

Monday night saw the return of The Big Bang Theory, The Voice, The Blacklist and Sleepy Hollow while new shows Scorpion, Forever and Gotham made their premieres. Under The Dome also had its finale.

The Big Bang Theory returned HUGE! 5.3/17 in the first half hour with 17.8m viewers while the 2nd episode scored 5.4/15 and 18m viewers. This show is just a beast in all aspects. No wonder the cast demanded more money.

The Blacklist returned well too with a 3.4/10 and 12.5m viewers proving Red still has it. Will be interested in how the move to Thursdays later in the season will effect the show against Scandal. Also on NBC the return of The Voice was the lowest premiere to date with 3.9/11 and 12.7m viewers.

New show Scorpion proved a hit with audiences alike scoring a well deserved 3.3/9 and 14m viewers. I thought the pilot was well done and this show has so much potential. The other big premiere of the night was Gotham. It premiered with 3.2/10 and 12m viewers. Elsewhere on ABC Forever scored a very low 1.5/4 and 8.3m viewers. This isn't its usual timeslot though that is on Tuesdays at 10. Still ABC would be thinking what do we need to do to launch a new series. Should have kept Body of Proof i tell ya. Castle returns next week which Seven are fast-tracking the following Sunday night which is awesome for me.

Other results include the Under The Dome finale which was up from last week scoring a 1.8/5 and 7.6m viewers. Surely season 3 is a lock. DWTS dipped to a 2.0/6 but had the older audience with 12m viewers. Sleepy Hollows return saw it hit a series low of 2.0/5 and 5.5m viewers which is a shame. Finally America's Next Top Model in who knows what season scored a 0.4/1 and a measly 1.17m viewers.

If you ask me its great to see the return of the tv season. Can't wait to see all the favourites and see which new shows flourish.

Tuesday saw the return of favourites Person of Interest, NCIS, Agents of SHIELD and Chicago Fire while newcomers Forever and NCIS: New Orleans but it was The Voice which topped the night.

The Voice away from The Big Bang Theory rose to a 4.1/13 and 13.18m viewers and Chicago Fire rose substantially from last seasons finale with a 2.6/8 and 9.14m viewers.

Over on ABC, DWTS continued to be sluggish among the demos with a 1.7/6 but had 10m viewers while Agents of SHIELD returned with a 2.1/6 and 6m viewers. Forever made its timeslot debut rising from its Monday outing with a 1.8/5 and 6.85m viewers.

NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans had 2.9/10, 18.23m and 2.5/7 and 17.22m viewers respectively while Person of Interest came last in the timeslot with 1.7/5 but 10.58m viewers.

Fox's disastrous start has continued with Utopia getting a mere 0.8/3 and 1.91m, New Girl 1.3/4 and 2.35m with and Mindy getting 1.0/3 and 2.1m. FOX are looking a little bit like the CW right now.

CW ran repeats.

Wednesday sees Modern Family, Survivor, The Middle, The Goldbergs, Nashville, blackish and Chicago PD all return while all eyes will be on how The Mysteries of Laura and Red Band Society perform with tougher competition. The Big Brother Finale also airs.

There was some highs and some very big lows on Wednesday. We saw Survivor premiere higher than its previous season with a 2.7/9 and 9.65m with the Big Brother finale scoring a 2.6/8 and 7m viewers helping CBS take the night.

Over on ABC some promising signs with Modern Family returning with 3.7/11 and 10.93m. Its down on last years premiere but on par with the season finale of last season but the big news was Black-ish. It scored 3.3/10 and 10.79m. In saying this a very mixed response. The other comedies of the night saw The Middle score 2.1/8 and 7.39m, The Goldbergs is up from the season finale last season with a 2.3/6 and 6.97m while Nashville continues to be ABC's weak link on Wednesday with 1.5/5 and 5.6m viewers.

Elsewhere saw FOX continue to struggle. Who knew The X Factor despite lowish ratings was doing better than what they are currently offering. Hells Kitchen scored just 1.3/5 and 3.7m viewers while the critically loved Red Band Society could only manage 1.0/3 and 3.4m viewers. It sucks because i have seen the first 2 episodes and i love the show. Another new show i like is going to get cancelled.

The Mysteries of Laura nosedived down to 1.5/5 and 9.9m viewers. Law and Order: SVU continues to be a good NBC staple with 2.1/6 and 10.1m viewers while Chicago PD did decently for 10pm with 1.9/6 and 8.4m. CW saw a Penn & Teller: Fool Us episode scoring 0.5/2 and 1.51m along with a repeat episode.

Next Wednesday Criminal Minds and the premiere of Stalker which i think looks good.

Thursday sees the return of ABC's juggernauts Grey's Anatomy and Scandal in their new timeslots plus the premiere of How To Get Away with Murder, while favourites Parenthood and Bones also return to the schedule. At this rate if Bones holds up like last season it could be one of 2 remaining dramas on FOX by seasons end.

HOLY CRAP! 3.9/11 for Scandal AND 3.9/12 How to Get Away With Murder and a 3.1/11 for Greys  ABC is in control of Thursdays all of a sudden. WOW O<> 8pm Thursday is no longer a death slot for them and in its 11th season Grey's is still well and truly kicking. In viewers Grey's scored 10.14m, Scandal 12.16m and HTGAWM got 14.34m. Scandal hit a series high too.

Elsewhere Bones returned with 1.6/5 and 6.34m viewers and Parenthood got 1.4/4 and 4.26m. Thursday Football kickoff scored 2.7/10 and 8.45m while the actual game scored 4.5/14 and 12.5m.

The Biggest Loser continues to fall with 1.3/4 and 4.5m. The rest of Thursdays schedule were repeats.

As always in the US, Football dominated Sunday night with a massive 9.0/34 and 25.82m viewers for FOX to start then over on NBC it got 8.7/25 and 22.68m viewers however it was Family Guy which was what everyone was talking about with the Simpsons crossover episode. It scored a massive 4.5/12 and 8.45m viewers. Elsewhere on FOX saw The Simpsons premiere get 3.9/11 and 8.53m viewers, Brooklyn Nine-Nine a 2.6/7 and 5.46m viewers. This makes Sunday Fox's successful night because the rest of the week is very very bleak.

ABC's Sunday lineup returned with Once Upon a Time scoring a very healthy 3.7/11 and 10.2m viewers way up on the last years season finale. Ressurection returned down but still respectable 2.5/7 and 8.38m viewers while Revenge got a mere 1.5/5 and only 5.71m viewers beating CSI which scored 1.3/4 and 9.36m. The Good Wife got 1.3/4 and 11.09m while Madam Secretary also scored well in viewers with 12.72m but the demo only could manage 1.4/4.

Monday saw Big Bang Theory drop week on week getting 4.8/15 and a huge 16.38m viewers still the best of the night which lead into a repeat of the show with a 3.1/9 and 12.26m viewers. Scorpion scored well in week 2 with a 3.1/8 and 13.36m while NCIS: LA returned with 1.9/6 and 9.48m viewers coming last in its timeslot.

The Voice again dominated for NBC winning the last hour and a half of its broadcast and got overall 4.0/11 and 12.94m viewers while The Blacklist is down on last week but had increased competition getting 2.8/8 and 10.51m viewers. I still say i'm very nervous about it moving to Thursdays.

Over on ABC we saw Dancing With The Stars get 1.8/5 and 12.5m viewers while the Premiere of Castle got 2.2/6 and 10.75m.

Fox saw Gotham drop from last week with a 2.8/8 and 7.45m, Sleepy Hollow fell even further getting 1.7/5 and 5.04m while on the CW iHeartradio Music Festival Night 1 got only 820,000 viewers and 0.3/1. Ouch.

Also Friday saw Shark Tank Premiered with 1.9/8 and 7.45m viewers topping the night. It also saw the return of The Amazing Race which could only manage a 1.1/4 and 5.48m, Hawaii Five-0 got 1.2/5 and 8.97m while Blue Bloods returned with 1.2/4 and 10.88m. Utopia could only manage 0.7/3 and 1.87m viewers while Masters of Illusion on CW got 0.3/1 an 1.01m.

Tuesday sees the premiere of Selfie and Manhattan Love Story.

Let me take a Selfie? I don't think so according to the ratings coming out of the US last night. Selfie premiered to 1.6/5 and 5.31m viewers while Manhattan Love Story fared worse only managing a 1.5/5 and 4.7m viewers. This is turn seemed to effect Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. which is down from last week and could only manage a 1.8/5 and 5.05m viewers. To think this was the highest new drama premiere last season. Forever drops again to a 1.4/5 and 5.69m viewers. Ouch for ABC's Tuesdays. A far cry from its successful Thursday lineup.

The Voice did well again on NBC scoring 4.1/13 and 13.73m viewers while Chicago Fire won its timeslot with a 2.3/7 and 8.71m viewers.

Over on CBS, NCIS had an impressive 18.84m viewers but could only manage 2.6/9 in the demo. NCIS: New Orleans also had good viewer numbers with 16.57m but could only manage 2.3/7 in the demo. Person of Interest got 1.8/6 and 10.72m viewers.

FOX continues to have its worst start to a season in years with Utopia getting a 0.8/2 and 1.99m viewers, New Girl 1.3/4 and 2.37m and Mindy could only manage 1.1/3 and 2.35m. Like i said FOX is looking like the new CW. Sunday seems to be its only real competitive night of the week. On CW iHeartRadio Night 2 only managed 990,000 viewers and 0.4/1.
