[quote:df41312b22="bane"][quote:df41312b22="chillidog"]Was tossing up recently between a 360 and a PSP but finally went with the 360 after the price drop... $399 plus 4 games... Am now addicted to Lego Indiana Jones, not the best game in the world but highly addictive.

I am loving that I can just plug the flash drive in the front and watch my downloads without having to watch them on the PC or burn them to disc :D[/quote:df41312b22]

If you turn on file share, you can stream the downloads straight to the console. Don't even need the usb drive.[/quote:df41312b22]

I thought that was only if you had a Media Centre PC, I will have to look into it a bit more. And see it I can work it out...

it's fairly straight forward, i've streamed my music and video files just from adding it as shared content in Windows Media Player.

Just set up xbox live. :D
Add roachie6690

Currently I only have topspin 3 and guitar hero world tour which are xbox live compatible, so if you have any of those games and wish to play me, just let me know.
I will be getting some more games soon though. :)

I've heard that very soon, there will be a dashboard update that will allow people to use - Zune, Facebook and Twitter on their 360 as well as the ability to download [b:43f641e117]Full HD Movies[/b:43f641e117] which will be a first for Australia!! each movie will cost $4 (not sure what that is in MS points) and they will be new release movies! so you may not need to go to the video store anymore for new releases!

I knew they were making one but didn't know it would be released this soon, the NEW SLIM Xbox 360 will be released here July 1st!! its smaller but not as small as the Slim PS3. but the new 360 is 15% smaller then the old one, and it only comes in black as far as I know. they have included a 250 GB hard drive as well as built in Wi-Fi but theres not much extra new stuff added besides more fans on the console.

^ theres a pretty good deal at EB, you can trade a console (Wii, PS3, Old 360 etc),
get the new slim 360 and get Red Dead Redemption included with it. the details -

http://www.ebgames.com.au/xbox360-150845-Xbox-360-S-250GB-Console-Xbox-360?utm_source=webmail&utm_medium=email&utm_content=Xbox360Slim&utm_campaign=Webmail20100624

I have a PS3 that I don't even use, I'll trade that and keep my old 360 and put it in another room.

good thing too, I haven't got Red Dead yet.

Figured out how to get on xbox live and facebook etc thanks for the help guys. :P Bought a second-hand xbox wireless adapter for about a third of the price they sell them brand new off eBay and its brilliant. If you already got a router and wireless home network it takes all of two seconds to get connected in fact it took longer to get an account on xbox live to get on there. Love the facebook feature although simple caveman updates are about all i do because you would be there forever with the controller. Also got it so i can stream media from my computer to the xbox which is great no burning movies on to DVD's anymore. 8-)

My only gripe is when i first started out it seemed to be asking for updates every two second and if you didn't they signed you out of xbox live typical micro$oft.

Xbox 360 has a new look Dashboard, I turned on my 360 and it prompted me to a update. when finished there was a pop up box explaining a few things about Xbox 360, Um... I think I know how to work my 360, just updated it through the net ;) anyway, Microsoft did change the top of the game boxes and this looks a little like it so thats probably why they updated it.
