Bad Company 2 is the greatest online game ... ever!!!

I love it so much! If you want to play online, forget Modern Warfare, get this ... it rocks!

I might look into this eventually, I played the first game and it was pretty good. The humour in it was pretty funny, that game wasn't like any other war game. I would place it pretty high.

I havn't played it yet, may not do so for awhile. I'm virtually the only person who isn't as impressed with the Battlefield franchise on console (i don't mind it on pc though).

I tried getting into BF 2: Modern Combat, the first Bad Company and most recently "1943" (via the xbox arcade service). I've gradually adjusted to 1943 and have given it a bash from time to time, but i find it more of a chore to play... than exciting or really pumped about it. It's not an excuse due to being crap at it (to be fair my skills do need work in it.... but they also need a lot of work when playing online in virtually EVERY other game i play ).

There's something in the graphics on the console versions of the Battlefield series, i don't get motion sickness or tired from it..... but i find the way the soldier models and also the vehicles interact with the environment hard to adjust to. I don't have the problem on pc (i don't play them all of the time but i have played and enjoyed 1942 and Battlefield 2 on pc), so it might be due to the size of the tv i play on (42" vs a 19" monitor when pc gaming).

Well the TV is definitely going to make some difference. Make sure you're playing on Xbox 360 though as the other consoles are nowhere near as good (I think you are as you mentioned arcade). BF2 was a very different game on console to PC but trust me, Bad Company 2 is a whole new game. Play on a FHD TV with a 360 and you'll love it!

I do my gaming on a Samsung 42" plasma, for the 360 i stick with the HDTV cables (and obviously set the switch to HDTV mode). Yeah i've been playing Battlefield 1943 via the Xbox Live Arcade - it's not bad.... once you get into it and snare a few kills. I just mean with my issue with the graphics could be because of the size difference in the screens that i play on pc vs on console.

I am more of a COD fan than Battlefield, in saying that i always preferred the Medal of Honor series (before they turned crap). MOH: Allied Assault was my favorite online pc game for quite awhile. Didn't much care for the early COD games (especially when gaming over a pc network), COD 4 changed it though.

The Battlefield games on pc rock and are great fun over a pc network. I think it's funny though, i've grown accustomed to playing FPS games on consoles now, play very few FPS on pc.... if i try something new on pc (FPS based) i won't like it. But if i go back to the old games i used to play (everything from Doom, to Duke Nukem 3D) i love it.

got this the other day, been playing as much of the single player as I can.

just like the first game but different in some aspects - swearing, blood and collecting guns and not gold this time. most of the time playing this, I can't help myself but to blow holes through as many walls as I can. hell, theres even achievements for causing as much damage as you can. a very fun game!!

Taking down a building with C4 is very satisfying but trying to kill 20 people online by taking down building is really frustrating but awesome once you've completed the achievement.
