I thought I'd start this one up out of curiosity-and to see if it gets quicker replies than the last game thread that I made, which was great and full of positive feedback :D

So what is the worst game that you've ever played? For me it would have to be a Godzilla game on the GameBoy Colour, based on the animated TV series, derived from the 1998 movie. The gameplay was monotonous, the instruction manual gave incorrect instructions, Godzilla's attacks were dodgy anyway and the game was way too easy, I finished it in an afternoon! It's one of the few games that I've actually got my money back on(I ended up getting a Duke Nukem game for GameBoy Colour, it was much better: )

I should also give mention to another Godzilla game that I played that was a puzzle game-not quite as bad but I traded it in after a week or so. Batman Begins was way too easy- I bought the GameCube version for fifteen dollars, finished it in a day and traded it in for twenty bucks

And a dishonourable mention must go to Shaq-Fu :P Quite possibly the most ridiculous implausible opening, coupled with just a lame storyline and unresponsive controls. Not a good move at all Shaq

So yeah, any other games that you've bought and thought to yourself after playing "now why did I do that"?

Umm.. I think you mean Tetris. I would have too many to list. Been playing games too long. But on the upside I've never once bought a game I didn't like. Always been a fan of try before you buy and read a few reviews first, although I will admit I have unfortunately played Superman 64. I need to bathe now.

Kingdom Hearts or something like that. The dragging intro was excruciatingly painful.

I'm no authority to bag though since I didn't play it for too long. First impressions ruined it for me.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Advance. That was a very crap game. Maybe it's because my version was in dutch :? The controls are so utterly useless that I played the opening level around 30 times. It has no margin for error, and if the system doesn't register just one of your commands, you die - and that throws you to the beginning of the level. The gameplay consists of saving the same guy over and over again for little reward. Yes, I know Giles likes his books, but it gets ridiculous after the third time! Plus you can't play as anyone but buffy.

AT YOUR OWN RISK!

This is where I found this rom a few years ago...
www.somethingawful.com
[b:578faa06a3]The ROM Pit [/b:578faa06a3]The Rom Pit is dedicated to reviewing the most bizarre and screwed up classic console games from the 1980's, the ones that made you wonder what kind of illegal substances the programmers were smoking when they worked on them. Strangely enough, the same illegal substances are often necessary to enjoy or make sense of most of these titles.
Check it out!
