I recently bought myself a new 1 TB HDD so I can backup all my DVDs. I've been using DVD Decrypter to rip them to the computer and AutoGK to convert them to a 700 MB avi file.

Up until now I've had no trouble with either program but for some reason DVD Decrypter won't let me rip 10,000 B.C. Does anyone know why this would happen with 1 movie and not the others?

Also, does anyone know of any other (freeware) programs I might have better luck with?

Give Dvd Shrink a try. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm

I've had trouble ripping some movies and not others so I think it just happens sometimes.

Problem Solved!

I'm using AnyDVD in the background and everything's working fine again.

Now I just need to get to work and put all my DVDs on the computer and I'll be set! Hopefully it won't take me too long as I managed to rip and convert 14 movies overnight and while I was at work today but I do have an awful lot to get through. Plus, I want to put all my TV shows on there at some stage as well :)

Next problem...

I've tranferred almost 100 movies to the computer so far but have found 2 movies that I just can't get in sync.

Does anyone here know how to fix an out of sync avi or what program I should be using?
