Do you prefer to host a party or enjoy going to someone else's party?

Gee I really like doing both. I agree with OJ that it's great to be able to leave when you want but I've hosted some great parties over the years. Because It's not something I do alot and because I'm a born organizer the few that I've hosted have been very exciting to host. Excellant food, excellant music and heaps of great friends - yeah I guess I'd have to choose host. Hard work but fun in the end and if everybody who leaves are happy then I'm happy too.

I prefer to be a hostess with the mostess. Although, these days I prefer to do morning/afternoon teas or luncheons. My party days are over.

we normally host the party, we've had heaps already this year and we'v had a huge long break from hosting about 5 party'smaybe more this year, We have a few in december so its a nice break.

I'd rather go to the party's cause then you can have more time hanging out then being busy.

Hosting for me. I love to organise a great party. I get pissed at home, then can collapse into bed without having to worry about how I'm going to get home because I'm already there. :D

Goer for me.......I am not of the organizational type.......And as OJ said you can leave if the party is crap.......
Dr. Phlox: Till your digestive tract is fully restored, you may want to avoid Mess Hall.
Lt. Reed: What do you suggest I eat?
Dr. Phlox: You're welcome to some of the moth larvae I feed to my Pyrithian bat.

Hahahaha thats a gold post!

I hosted a party this year for my birthday and it didn't turn out all too well. I couldn't really drink because I had to worry about someone getting too drunk and perhaps messing up the house. A few days later I looked back on it and thought it was pretty fun. Having to rush to make sure all the food is ready on time(it wasn't), timing the pizza guy perfectly(nope) and leaving in time to make it to the movies(got that one right!) did prove some adrenaline and laughter. You do also have more power if you host the party yourself.

In the end I'd probably say I prefer to go to a party than host it myself, but only if I'm going to a good friend's party.
