SO what would you prefer, to sit down and watch tv at night, or chuck in a good movie.

In the end i watch tv more often but i prefer to watch a movie so i'll be voting movie, as there are only a few shows i watch and really really enjoy...Desperate Housewives, Alias, Friends, Seinfeld, Will and Grace, E.R, Big Brother these take up the majority of my tv viewing throughout the week so their isn't alot of time for movies.

I am definately for TV aswell.

The brilliance of TV shows (especially on DVD) is that you can wacth an entire episode of a series just to past the time while waiting for something.

Whether it be a 22 minute of [i:840c3cb9d0]Friends[/i:840c3cb9d0], a 44-minute episode of [i:840c3cb9d0]24 [/i:840c3cb9d0]or a 55-minute episode of [i:840c3cb9d0]The Sopranos;[/i:840c3cb9d0] it is always easier to put one of these shows on than set aside the minimum 90-minutes for a movie.

They are both good for different reasons, but lately I've been watching a lot of TV on DVD!

I like movies and I like TV...the good thing about movies is there are no annoying ads and if you watch them on DVD like I do you can pause them if you need to erm let nature call.
But I have my Tuesday night settled...7.30 Border Security, 8pm Medical Emergency and then All Saints at 8.30...then bed!!
Movies are good..

A while back we traded in the Movies package on Foxtel for Entertainment Plus (more general channels). It has proved to be much better value.

I'd rather watch a 30 or 60 minute show, than concentrate on a movie for 90 - 120 plus minutes.

Yea we've turned off the movie package on ours to gayle, purely though because they take too long to come to austar, i can get it on dvd a year before, and besides, i own pretty much every movie i want to watch as i "backup" dvd's so they're always on hand, its much better to have the entertainment options on foxtel.

I'd rather chuck in a good DVD or two. There's not much on TV these days. :? It's all just re-runs or repedative reality shows and NCIS rip offs.

Im definately a TV man.

My DVD collection is all TV shows (at the moment). I do enjoy a good movie but I probably only goto the cinemas about 10 times a year and never hire movies. A good TV show appeals to me more though :D

Its tough... if I want to watch something other than what is on TV, usually to fill in time, I'll look through my movie collection and in the end find myself drawn to my TV box sets more.

My movie collection is bigger than my TV collection so I love movies, I really do, and when I actually put a movie on I love the feeling I get from watching it.
But I think because TV shows have such great stories these days, they are easier to digest compared to an average 90 minute movie.

A 20 minute episode of Arrested Development or Will and Grace doesn't feel like you are watching as long, even if you put on the same amount of episodes that would be the length of a film.
