Why do 4 tv networks feel the need to send their Sydney based morning show hosts somewhere to "report" on news that hasn't happened yet? (Or indeed even if it has happened ... those people add nothing to the information stream). I had the tv on for half an hour this morning waiting for one of them to tell me what happened in the world overnight, but no, not one of them gave me anything but slightly hysterical drivel about a cyclone approaching Qld.
I gave up when one of those claimed "most experienced reporters" , Sam Armitage, asked the Qld premier if she had warned the insurance companies of the impending cyclone. Jeebus.
/end rant. Thanks for listening. ;)

 They're still at it and will be all day - just going round and round in circles. Time to change to recordings!

hahaha. I am glad I am not the only one going crazy about this.

Surely an extended weather report on the breakky shows was more than enough, than send over so many reporters who have all said the same things as each other. With the likes of "we are predicting the storm to hit at 1pm" at since 6.30am!!, "the winds speed will be over 200km/h", "listen to police" etc. One reporter is enough to say these things, not five reporters saying nothing new than the other reporters.

Yeah, and today you could almost feel palpable disappointment that there wasn't more destruction/death/drama.
One "reporter" was breathlessly telling us about the canvas shade shelter on a kids playground that had been shredded.

.... well colour ME surprised and SHOCKED at such unexpected carnage! :o

It's unbelievable isn't it!

ETA - some actual pictures this morning of a lot of the devastation, so it happened, but not where any of the reporters were standing on the day/days.
