What are you wanting for yourself in 2012?

I am hoping that i can find a better balance between work and friends in the new year. I spent too much time working last year and drifted apart from friends and family and used work as an excuse to be antisocial ;)

No new year resolutions for me, thanks. For the same reason I don't do mothers day or christmas gifts. There just isn't any special day for me to do any of that. Resolutions, being nice to someone and giving gifts can happen any time at all. Why, just on Saturday I gave a nice young single mother a kiss, waved a friendly goodbye to her, and resolved not to visit her again. That was on Saturday the 3rd of June 1989, but still, you know what I mean, don't you?

I never usually make them, but one I have to make is to not walk home after a night out - get a taxi home! I'm guilty of getting the "I want to go home now" head on me and don't like having to wait for a cab.

I'm going to try and not worry and stress so much!
The power of submission lies not in the ability to kneel before another, to give over one's body or in the wearing of a collar.
The power of submission can be found only in the heart of one who gives her love to another freely knowing what joy and pain will come of it - Roguer

Mine aswell in some ways!

I've really just decided I'm going to take things a lot easier, put a lot more focus into what I do, take pressure and stress situations one day at a time and really just place things into perspective a lot more!

I've already started doing this with work, i.e I've been doing 6-8 day working weeks and as opposed to looking at it as a non-stop working week, I'm just taking each day at a time and I find it's much easier to get through!

I've good vibes about 2012, but I do anticipate there will be the rough road here and there! But I really do have that "fresh start" feel about this year!

I've already won my first battle. Was at a NYD party yesterday, and instead of drinking wine, which on a long day in the sun can make you pretty silly at the best of times, I drank gin and tonic. So for one, I was pretty well sober when I decided It was time to leave, as gin and tonic doesn't affect me like wine, and two, because I didn't get that silly and had to leave before my partner, we were ready to go at the same time and got a cab :D

Let's hope I can keep up the good work!

Forming relationships that are not transient

Just looking at my facebook friends list, many people have come and gone of people that I once knew, lack of follow up means they might as well be strangers

I don't think that I have had more New Year Resolutions than the amount that I have this year. There's about 10+ that I have and if I complete them all (if not most of them), I will be able to complete the final one on my list which is moving out of home. I think it's about time for me that I did. By the end of the year, I will be 21 years old which in my opinion is the ideal age to move out.
