Turned out to be the body of a 58 year old man had been pulled out of the sea at 6.30 by life savers. Clearly the life savers were too late, or not doing their jobs properly
And, no Zeal

Perth hasn't seen a cloud in the sky, let alone rain for 5 months

I feel so sorry for those poor westies, its almost like groundhog day the way the weather has been in repetition for the last 5 months

So I heard Perth has shafted the Soundwave and Big Day Out Festivals because of cost, and the fact Perth has too many festivals going on regardless for a place with such a small population - eg Laneway, Southbound, Future Music, Fringe and The Perth Festival

However, removing Soundwave and the Big Day Out in many ways is a step in the wrong direction, not when both those festivals are still going on the east coast, what is left there for young people to do in Perth? It looks all set up for a middle aged persons with kids to grow old in

The only thing left to gawk at is the big giant construction rejoining Northbridge to the city for the first time in several generations, but even that plan is flawed as the other side of the Perth link area has a crosswalk - modern cbds dont have crosswalks or railway crossings! Couple that with unsightly power and rail lines. It just shows Perth takes 2 steps forwards and then 2 steps backs and while its crazy to see all these construction projects on at once, it also showcases the city of Perth's indecision married with the lack of vision for the city. With one area developed and with the other side of the Perth railway cut off by those power and rail lines, it could lead to urban decay in that Pier St/ Mciver station area.

Also McIver Station is a very scary place to go to at night

Having said that, Im not there and its none of my concern, but dont say I told you so when eventual problems arise from the Urban decay that can arise out of the neglect

Awful accident at McIver this weekend, a girl losing both her feet. Dreadful news. It's Burswood station that has the worst reputation. I just wouldn't catch a train after dark tbh.

Is Perth's time zone (its also China/ Indonesia/ Phillipines' time zone) the best time zone in the world for watching sport / doing business compared to the rest of the world?

Its only 2 hours ahead of India

Daytime sports from Europe and England are on prime time ie 6pm onwards and most daytime sports only end slightly late at 12am

Wake up first thing in the morning, nighttime sports from America 8am= 7pm in New York, and the games from Los Angeles end about 12pm in the afternoon in Indian Ocean time zone?

Its not so good in Sydney and Melbourne for watching sports from England where most sports finish at 3am

The amount of informal votes is remarkable

The last election was the highest amount of informal votes in the history of elections
