During an evening meeting with Bali Justice Office officials at her family home on Monday night, Corby repeatedly blamed media intrusion for her levels of stress.

That was the funniest thing that I read. They have spent the first 10 days in the company of a Channel 7 film crew and she is blaming media intrusion for her stress levels.

What a load of bollocks.

the overload of "the Packer-Gyngell fight".

The first news story on the news last night and tonight (in Sydney's Seven News), and.....

The Daily Telegraph had the FIRST NINE PAGES of this coverage in today's paper (plus a few editorials after page nine regarding this). Must have been a slow news day in the view of the paper if they are overloading so many pages on this incident.

Newsworthy? Yes. That much extent? No!

The big non-news story today was the fact that Ian Thorpe has finally come to terms with his sexuality.

I have been watching the interview and it has been an excellent interview and he is being open and honest. Unfortunately the paparazzi will be out in force now to try and find him kissing a guy.

As for Brian Taylor he needs to be taken off air.

I just watched the Parkinson interview as well. Thorpe has the rare combination of courage, strength, maturity and humility, and from what he says I fully understand why he could not have come out a lot earlier than he did. Now I shall add to my appreciation of him as a top athlete my admiration of him as a person. Good on you, Ian Thorpe.

The thing is
Thorpe was put off by wanting to conform with society, especially being an Aussie male and the macho image associated with that tag

The funny thing is, most of those footy, macho men that play those sports are really vain, all of those 'professional athletes' do only 1 thing, its not like the old days where a lot of the players worked and then played sports
Nothing is what it seems with regards to this

But yeh, a person's own personal life is not really a news story, irregardless if they are a public figure, Daniel Kowalski was another swimmer who came out as gay and nobody even batted an eyelid

On the flipside of things, Casey Dellacqua and her partner had a baby in 2013, and Casey was the "husband" side for that relationship
