Steely Dan co-founder Walter Becker has died on Sunday at his home in Hawaii. He was 67.

Best known as the co-founder, guitarist, bassist, and co-songwriter of Steely Dan, Becker’s cause of death has not been announced yet though sources are citing an “undisclosed illness”.

Actor Sam Johnson yesterday paid tribute to his sister Connie, who died yesterday following her battle with cancer.

Connie Johnson, 40, became the face of the Love Your Sister charity, which raised a staggering $4m towards cancer research through campaigning across Australia.

Frank Vincent, known for portraying Phil Leotard on “The Sopranos,” has died, his “Sopranos” co-star Vincent Pastore announced on Facebook. He was 78.

In addition to his work opposite James Gandolfini on “The Sopranos,” Vincent also acted in several films with Martin Scorsese, including “Raging Bull,” “Goodfellas,” and “Casino.”

really bummed about that, he was great in those roles. Scorsese is reuniting with De Niro and Pesci for 'The Irishman' and would have loved to see him in it also. thats 3 deaths this year I can think of that were related to surgery.

Grant Hart, drummer and singer for influential 80s trio Hüsker Dü has died at the age of 56 after a battle with cancer. The news was confirmed early this morning by Hart’s longtime friend and former Hüsker Dü bandmate Bob Mould, who took to Facebook to issue a lengthy, heartfelt statement about Hart’s passing and the journey that took them from a chance meeting in a St. Paul, Minnesota record store to becoming one of the most influential bands to emerge from the 1980s’ punk and alternative scenes.
