No babysitters the parents could trust is my guess. If the parents never hired a babysitter at all in her life it would have been harder for them to do so that night.

Anyone see him in court on the TV this morning? He looked like he was heavily medicated.
And then there was a breaking news story of another guy caught with guns who had planned after this shooting to do the same thing somewhere else.
Can't seem to find anything on that at the moment.

It's a terrible tragedy. There are so many people blaming the Batman movies for the shoot-out, and not the actual killer. Idiots.

The thing is: Unfortunately, the movie is VIOLENT (unlike the Adam West and Burt Ward Batman :( ) and in the wrong context, it can incite the wrong whacko who takes the message improperly (and this film preaches anarchy)

Anyway here is the Q and A discussion thread about the violence associated with this movie:->

I gather that the movie would be violent but we're not talk 'Saw' levels of violence, yes? I mean it did receive a PG-13 rating in the US, didn't it? Mentally disturbed people could shoot a bunch of people and blame it on GI Joe. There's no logic to their behaviour.

Here's a story of hope amongst all of the grief.

Of course. It makes sense, doesn't it? The the political right has always used the notion of free will as justification for the rich being rich and the poor being poor.
