*Bump*

Not long now. Can't believe its only a few weeks away. I am interested in hosting a sweeps unless Zeal wants to do it.

Anyway Bossy joins Seven's commentary team as he is out injured. Should be another great year anyway. Look i know i am a tad bias here but i have been catching Nine's racing coverage the past couple of weeks and it has been mediocre at best. Its good a FTA network has the lead up to the carnival but Nine just can't cover sports, period! Seven does cover the 4 day carnival very well.

The 4 day carnival begins October 29th.

TV Tonight wrote:Jockey Glen Boss joins Seven’s racing commentary team

Three-time Melbourne Cup winner, jockey Glen Boss, will join Seven’s Cup Carnival commentary team.

He will join Bruce McAvaney, Simon Marshall, Francesca Cumani and Richard Freedman for Victoria Derby, Melbourne Cup, Oaks and Stakes Day coverage.

“I can’t wait for the Melbourne Cup Carnival to start,” said Boss. “I look forward to bringing Channel 7 viewers an insight into everything that happens on the track from jockeys’ and trainers’ strategies to track conditions and the form of the horses.”

Seven’s Head of Sport Saul Shtein said “Glen is a not only a champion sportsman, he is very comfortable in front of a camera. We are thrilled to have his insights throughout our telecast of the Carnival.”

Boss’ wins include three Melbourne Cups on Makybe Diva plus the Golden Slipper and Cox Plate.

Since Zeal hasn't been around for a couple of months, I reckon you could get away with running the sweep yourself this year.

Agrees with the Princess ... I think you, greysfan, should take on running the sweep.

*BUMP*

Found this thread in the back of the sporting threads so thought it needs a bump after the epic performances of Frankel and So You Think this week but also to advise you where you can watch Black Caviar go for 22 straight. Sort of surprised its not all on Seven but none the less its on FTA which is great. It will also be covered by Sky Racing 1, 2 and World channels as well as TVN.
