The Aussies - Molik and Philippousis - both won against the favourites Russia.
Molik looked in great form and we are now favourites to win.

he actually won an ATP tournament last year.

Australia really did surprise me on saturay, mloik and flip played really well, they might be a chance now.

There have been a few upsets this week though.

India upsets Czech Republic at Hopman Cup

India upset the Czech Republic 2-1 in a thrilling first round tie at the Hopman Cup mixed team's event in Perth on Sunday.

The Indian pair of Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna won a tie-breaker in the deciding mixed doubles rubber for a 6-3, 5-7, 10-6 victory, after the singles matches had been split.

"Rohan played unbelievable in the mixed, I literally didn't have to do much," Mirza said.

"He was flying all over the court... he had a banana before we went on.

"But I had to let loose also, I couldn't just let the boys hit it."

Mirza had earlier confirmed her reputation as one of Asia's most promising female players with a clinical 6-2, 6-2 win over Lucie Safarova.

But world number 13, Tomas Berdych, levelled the tie with an identical 6-2, 6-2 victory over Bopanna in just 46 minutes to set the scene for the deciding mixed doubles.

India are appearing in the Hopman Cup for the first time after winning the inaugural Asian version of the event last month, and their unexpected win over the Czech Republic follows two other surprise results on Saturday's opening day.

Host-nation Australia beat defending champions Russia and France upset the United States.

Poor Philipoussis. However apparently Nathan Healey has been called up to replace him so Australia doesnt have to retire from the entire tournament. IMO, Russia is the one to beat, although several other teams including France and the Czechs are pretty good as well.
Sydney: Forgive me for being forthright, or female, but this is the way it's going to be.

I feel sorry for mark, injuries just never stay away from him. We'll have to see how Nathan Healey goes now.

I am considering going to Session 9 http://www.hopmancup.com.au/default.aspx?id=201

At the bottom of the page it says "Double-header using two courts." Does this mean there will be two courts next to each other inside Burswood Dome or one inside and one outside?

Do help if you know!

I'm about 99% sure that that second tie is played next to them indoors,
