I thought the shows were nothing special, nothing you haven't heard before if you have any of their shows on cd...

too bad the movie was basically non-existent on release here :(

i like this group.

Since the last post was made in here, their movie came out (back in 2006). It screened as a limited release (just a handful of screenings), and their second album 'Pick of Destiny' was released in that year too.

So they now have 2 albums out that i know of. Anyone know if a 3rd one is going to happen? I would like a second movie to come out too, but i dont think it will happen as the first film wasn't a big success.

Tenacious D are going to be touring Australia later this year. They are going to be the support acts of the 'Foo Fighters' in late November and early December this year

i also am not a fan of the foo fighters, and would have liked them to do their own tour.

Love the Fooies, but I have already seen them. The only reason I am going to see them is because the D are supporting...

I think they are dumb not to do their own shows

but maybe there aren't enough fans to warrant it ...

The D have announced the release of their third album, titles ''Rize of the Fenix''.

According to wikipedia, it is released as ''physical form'' (im guessing as a cd?) in the USA on May 11, and here in Australia as a Digital Release, in both explicit and clean versions.

I'm not that tech savvy with my music, so i hope it comes out in music stores with a cd too.

I am so happy they're back with this ambum. It's been around five-odd-years since the alst one, so it better be good

i got their Rize of the Fenix album. It did come out on cd.

But more importantly, i am going to their concert next month at the Sydney Opera House. It's in form of an acoustic show, with just Jack Black and Kyle Gass that i know of being there on stage (aka - not a full band). Wooooot. Looking forward to it

i went to the Tenacious D concert last night at the Sydney Opera House. I loved it.

It was an acoustic show, with both Jack Black and Kyle Gass on stage. They were both doing the singing and playing greatly on guitar. They were mostly doing songs, with some comedic interaction. This is because most their songs are funny. There were brief glimpses of the Sasquash and also from one of the groups band member - who did brief backup vocals and did mino comedic bits and pieces with the group.

sadly, they didn't perform all their songs, but did do a good chunk of them

Just happy to see them live - and close to the stage too.
