Thought id bump this thread considering Australia is about to get slapped in the face with a whole lotta 80's rock.

December 2010 will see Bon Jovi, U2, Guns N Roses and The Eagles all hit Aussie shores.

I know a few people are going to U2, but anyone else going to any of the 4 concerts mentioned above? Or would like to go?

Definately going to Bon Jovi (three times ). Not a fan at all of The Eagles so not interested in seeing them. I do like some U2 songs and Guns N Roses but not enough to pay to see them (although I think the U2 concert will be epic just for the stage).

U2 will be epic I am going to that one; not really much of a fan of Bon Jovi or Guns N Roses that much - don't mind The Eagles but I wouldn't pay to see them.

December is going to be HUGE for me....

December 3 (my birthday) - U2 Second Melbourne Show (General Admin.)
December 13 - Linkin Park (Lower Seating Tickets)
December 14 - Muse - First Show (General Admin.)
December 15 - Muse - Second Show (Lower Seating Tickets)

Linkin and both Muse shows, tickets were 130+ each, plus I paid for my wife to come along to one muse and the LP show. She is getting the U2 tickets for her and I for my birthday. Fingers crossed for a second Linkin show, that will be four nights in a row at Rod Laver. Man, I will be dead!

Going to see GnR (guest starring Korn) and Muse, but because I'm poor that will be my only concerts for the coming season. I went and saw a heap in 2002-03 which set my standards almost impossibly high so I only bother going to the ones I actually think I have a chance of being impressed by.

Worth noting that as per their last Australian tour "Guns 'n' Roses" only contain two members from the original band - Axl Rose (piano/vocals) and Dizzy Reed (keyboards).

Wow Jay! That is gonna be one massive weekend! haha.

Travs, have an awesome time at Gunners! Hopefully Axl turns up on time! (unlikely)

I will be seeing Bon Jovi 3 times...

Bon Jovi - December 8 - Perth
Bon Jovi - December 17 - Sydney
Bon Jovi - December 19 - Sydney

Should we ad Orpah to the list of acts coming in December?

Just saw Birds of Tokyo and Silversun Pickups at Festival Hall last night... got on the barrier, nice. Only really went for Silversun Pickups, got into Birds of Tokyo because of them. Silversun were amazing; they take waay to long to come back and only do support slots (I missed the Corner gig earlier in the week)... it will be a long wait for them to come back, but worth the trip.

BoT were pretty awesome as well. Dont really know much of their older stuff, but Shillouetic came on and the croud went nuts, and another one of the older songs from Universes. Most of their newer stuff didn't really get the crowd going, except maybe Plans and Saddest Thing I Know... loved Circles, that was awesome!

Great night, took about 400 photos so hope to have them online some time soon. :)

Jay: BoT are awesome :) I got into them *very* early because I went to school with the band's drummer. Good to see them getting the attention they deserve :)

I'm going to Manic Street Preachers in November and BDO in February.
