I don't mind Nickelback but does anyone know why they are paid out so much by radio people? They are always the target of many jokes.

Haha, but out of all the bands like them what makes them the worst?
What makes them different from umm I dunno 3 doors down? Even Matchbox Twenty...

(Both of whom i love a million times more than Nickelback)

Are Matchbox 20 really in the same league as Nickelback?

I'm not sure about the other group you mentioned there, but I always thought Nickelback was more akin to Hinder.

Hmm but Hinder have had one hit.
Nickelback have had quite a few hits.

Plus lots of successful albums.

I know they have a similar sound but the success of Nickelback is much much greater than Hinder.

I thought that's what we were going by.The sound.

That's why they're made fun of for. Not because of how successful or unsuccessful they are...just that irritating, middle-of-the-road, piddling soft-rock [i:49e7eea459]sound[/i:49e7eea459] of theirs.

And yes, Platypus, I share your...shuddering? That doesn't make much sense. Anyway, yes, they both suck. :P

Yeah but I'd say Matchbox Twenty and 3dd are both soft rock and successful, hence I used them as more of a comparison.

Hinder on the other hand are basically identical in sound to Nickelback but don't have the popularity.
