Were you at the Thursday night (Melb) show? I was (and like you, not my usual kind of concert either!) but yes, agreed.

In much more familiar territory tonight - seeing Kyuss, who've just (sort of) reunited after a 16-year hiatus.

Just commented in Katy Perry topic - yeah, I was at the Thursday night Katy show. Kyuss should be good - enjoy it!

Meatloaf when he played in Adelaide recently.

pretty good for my first concert, and certainly not as bad as people make him out to be after the Footy.

The list is endless for me:

but for me the standout international acts have been:

Primal Scream at Brixton Academy
Flaming Lips at Perth Big Day Out
Sigur Ros at Splendour in the Grass
Ryan Adams at the Enmore
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club in Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes in London

U2 at Stadium Australia in Sydney is one of the worst concert experiences

Backstreet Boys (twice, with the third time being in March this year)
Kelly Clarkson (with support act Mandy Moore - she was really god too)
Taylor Swift (last night - she was awesome - so were Gloriana)
Westlife
Thirsty Merc (support act Angelas Dish were really good)
Ricki-Lee
Adam Brand (was dragged to that one - and didn't go to his others)
Melinda Schneider

I did post after this list, after I saw the Backstreet Boys for the third time. Since I haven't been on here, have seen:

Jason Mraz (2009)
Usher (2011)
The Script (2011)

Next year is another big year for concerts for me: Taylor Swift (Speak Now tour), Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and NKOTBSB (and going to the VIP beforehand to meet them for the first time)

^ You Am I

I have seen Tim Rogers and his band play three times, once at Byron Bay at Splendour in the Grass

His band is difficult to get into, but his songwriting is rich and deep, sometimes the performance and interpretation of Tim Rogers is divisive as he is said to not have the greatest singing voice

Sadly, I haven't really seen many singers or groups perform in my lifetime. I prefer stand-up comedy, however, I have slackened off lately.

Lately, I have seen:
- Tenacious D: 2013 at the Sydney Opera House. AWESOME show. I just love these guys.
- AC/DC: 2010 at Sydney Olympic Park. Great show
- Darren Percival (runner up of season one's The Voice). It wasn't my choice to go see him, but went with a family member who dragged me along earlier this year. The show was surprisingly better than I expected it would be.

am considering in going to see The Cat Empire later this year, but tickets are selling fast. am 50-50 atm

Saw Blur for the second time on Saturday night. They were really good, and WAY better than the last time.
