Do you have any? I have about a dozen. Most recent ones:

'Anal sex of love' by Take That
(when really it's Ain't So Sense to Love)

Also, that Sophie B Hawkins song "As I lay me down to sleep", I could swear that the background singers say "I love tacos"

Also as a kid with Silent Night, I thought "round young virgin" said round John Stergin. Don't know who John Stergin is....

Misheard song lyrics are the best!
Unfortunately i can't think of any examples at the moment.
My sister usually comes out with some funny interpretations of song lyrics...

That made me laugh out loud just then as I read it.

The only one I can think of, off the top of my head is Cold Chisel's "[b:92887c4f6c]Cheap Wine[/b:92887c4f6c]"

Instead of [i:92887c4f6c]"Cheap Wine & a three day growth"... [/i:92887c4f6c]I always thought Jimmy Barnes was saying [i:92887c4f6c]"Cheap WIne that is 3 days old"[/i:92887c4f6c] ....

not as funny as the taco one.

Another Sophie B Hawkins one was "Damn I wish I was your lover" I always thought it said [i:0482b90fdf]I'll bonk you till the daylight comes[/i:0482b90fdf] but it's [i:0482b90fdf]I'll rock you 'till the daylight comes.[/i:0482b90fdf]

Same.. PSML Here. :)

I Used to get what Diana King Meant Mixed up in her song [b:ecda1b903e]'I Say A Little Prayer'[/b:ecda1b903e] When she sings [b:ecda1b903e]'In the Morning I Wake Up, Before I Put On My Makeup'[/b:ecda1b903e]..... I Was listening one day & Thought she said [b:ecda1b903e]'Before I Wake Up, I Put On My Makeup'[/b:ecda1b903e].. & Just the Mental image of Diana King Putting Makeup on in her sleep just made me PSML.

same with 'The Ketchup Song', Its In a Different Language yes, But the End of the chorus Sounded So much Like 'On The Beach' to my Cousin that whenever it came on, He'd Just Mumble the words then Shout out 'On The Beach!' at the end. Haha.

theres more but that'll do ATM. Haha.

Thankyou,

Back in the late 80s ('89, I think), I believed that Kate Ceberano's [i:eb5c100729]Bedroom Eyes[/i:eb5c100729] was actually "Petrol Eyes"... Don't know why.

I embarrassingly found out the truth during a game of charades on a school bus. :shifty: [quote:eb5c100729="CoffeePot"]he only one I can think of, off the top of my head is Cold Chisel's "[b:eb5c100729]Cheap Wine[/b:eb5c100729]"

I originally thought it was "Cheap wine and I'm feeling good". :eh:

I feel a lot better knowing I'm not the only one who had trouble interpreting Jimmy Barnes. I even did a quick google of the Cheap Wine lyrics to double check what he was really singing. :shifty:

And Platypus... I love the "Petrol Eyes"
