David Bowie's latest, 26th album is brilliant! Some of you younger kids would know him (probably from your folks heh). He is always known for his camp music videos and *outta this world* beats.

That pretty much sums up his personality heh.

The album itself is well constructed, from New Killer Star to Bring Me the Disco King. His classic rock structure remains even into the 21st century. The Pablo Picasso cover is brilliant, perhaps my fav song on this album. The lyrics themselves really leave you thinking

Never Get Old has the saddest lyrics (for older people, who have gotten old heh) But I'll quote The Loneliest Guy's lyrics here:
[quote:78d6e12644]"The Loneliest Guy"

Streets damp and warm
Empty smell metal
Weeds between buildings
Pictures on my hard drive
But I'm the luckiest guy
Not the loneliest guy

Steam under floor
Shards by the mirrors frame
Clouds green and low
No sign, no nothing now
But I'm the luckiest guy
Not the loneliest guy

All the pages that have turned
All the errors left unlearned, oh
Well I'm the luckiest guy
Not the loneliest guy
In the world
Not me
Not me[/quote:78d6e12644]

This is an album you could listen to over and over, its easy going, the lyrics aren't forced out of his mouth - this is Bowie at perhaps his greatest.

Goto Amazon.com and try the samples out, it might not be for everyone, but if your a long time fan you'll love it, in his top 3 best albums for sure. I went to one of his concerts years and years ago, was blown away.

I got an email from Something For Kate's website and apparently they are touring with him when he is here in February! Not really a fan of Bowie, but I do like Something for Kate. Thought that I'd mention something! :D

I know him! At the high school i used to go to the best thing on the computers was Encarta. Because it taught us stuff? Hell no! It's had 20 second clips from various artists on it! Sure they were all pre 1995 people but I played them anyway. David Bowie's "Changes" song was one of my favourites to play loud to annoy people. I would also get a couple of other people to play it loud at the same time! Fun! But apart from that I know nothing about David Bowie and certainly wont be buying his dinner party music album.
Modest to the top.

Yeah, I remember the last AC/DC tour they went with The Living End, being an older person I'd never really heard The Living End properly they were pretty good, AC/DC rocked that night too.
Bowie concerts are always a hoot, he is a very odd man.

I'd love to go see them - not a fan of Bowie as I mentioned, so I'd probably go and see them when they are by themselves... when I have the money!
